Do you feel stress often? Are you trying to find ways to completely obliterate stress?
We all feel stress from time to time but sometimes stress can become overwhelming when we do not know how to obliterate it.
I used to feel a lot of stress when I was a young teenager and I still feel stress from time to time but I have equipped myself in some ways that I obliterate stress and I will share some that I use and some that I found from doing some research.
What I will be talking about in this blog post is the following.
- reduce intake on caffeine
- write it down somewhere
- take deep breathes
- be more present at the moment
- listen to some calming music
- read chill with a pet
- listen to binaural beats
Now that you know what I will be discussing in this blog post, let us now begin talking about different ways to completely obliterate stress.
Exercise is the first way in which you can completely obliterate stress.
According to adaa.org, whenever you exercise or do any other physical activity, you produce endorphins.
Endorphines acts like natural painkillers which of course reduces stress.
There are a whole lot of exercises you can do.
You can walk, go to the gym, do some yoga, or any other exercise activity that works for you.
Whenever I get stressed out, I usually do some yoga or play basketball.
Those two exercises really help me get rid of stress and feel good.
Reduce Intake On Caffeine
verywellmind.com says that Drinking caffeine can increase cortisol levels or otherwise known as the stress hormone.
They also say that Cortisol is very closely linked to stress. It plays as a body stress response and is often measured in research as an indicator of stress.
I didn’t even know that intaking caffeine can increase the level of stress until I found out that it does.
If you find yourself being stressed and intaking a lot of caffeine, whether it is pop, coffee, tea, or something else that contains caffeine then cut it down right away.
There are even more benefits of stopping or reducing caffeine like not gaining weight and being able to sleep better.
I have stopped drinking pop or intaking caffeine since I was about 10 years old and I have seen huge benefits from it. My health got a lot better and my stress levels went down.
Write It Down Somewhere
The third way that you can get rid of stress is to write down the thing that you are stressing about.
I would recommend to write it down in a notebook or on a phone but you can also do it that is the best way for you.
Write down at about fifteen things that you are stressing out about.
If you can’t go up to fifteen or you need to go over fifteen then that is fine.
After you write down the fifteen things that you are stressed about, then write it down in detail of why you are stressing about that thing.
This will allow you to get a better idea and more clarity on why you are stressing out.
Now, look at what you wrote down.
After you look at what you wrote down, let whatever you are stressing about go.
Meditating is a really good way to obliterate stress.
meditation allows you to calm the mind and be more in the present moment.
It might take some time to get the benefits from it.
You might not get the results that you want right away but If you make it consistent, then you will be able to destress completely through meditation.
For example, I didn’t really get any results from meditation for the first few times.
I struggled to have my mind calm the first couple of times but I soon learned the reason why I struggled.
For the first few times, people might try to control their thoughts while meditating.
You should not do this as it will just make the experience worse and you will still feel stress.
What you need to do is to focus on your breathe and just let the thoughts be there.
Don’t interact with them, just let them be.
This might take a while to get it down but when you do, you will be able to destress pretty easy through meditation.
Take deep breaths
The fifth way that you can completely obliterate stress is to take in some deep breaths.
Whenever you find yourself feeling stressed about something, take in some deep breaths.
This will help you to calm down your mind and will result in not being as stressed as before.
This is very simple to do but it works pretty well.
It is sometimes hard to remember to take in deep breaths while you are stressed, so make sure that you remind yourself that if you are stressed then take in some deep breaths.
I recommend to take in a deep breath for about 4 seconds, hold it for four seconds, and breathe it all out in four seconds and repeat it until you feel like you are not stressed anymore.
Be More Present In The Moment
When you are stressed, you are thinking of all the things that you have to get done in a certain amount of time or something that might happen in the future.
You are not present in the moment but instead, you are thinking of the past and the future.
So to get rid of stress, be more present at the moment.
There are multiple ways in which you can become more present at the moment.
You can meditate, do some breathwork, yoga, or do something that makes you more present in the here and now.
Once you are present, you will not feel stress because, in order to feel stress, you will have to think about the future or the past.
If you are interested in how exactly the different ways that you can become present in the moment, then check out my blog here.
It shows you different ways to be more present in the moment.
Listen To Some Calming Music
Listening to music calm music can reduce the stress hormones in our body.
It allows our body to totally relax, reduce blood pressure, and heart rate.
I sometimes listen to calming music when I get stressed out and it works great.
If you feel like you are stressed out right now, then try listening to calming music.
It would help you with stress.
The best ones that I find and that are all over the place when you search for calming music is meditation music.
They are really calm and are not just good for calming down but for meditation too.
So if you feel stressed out, then listen to calming music or meditation music.
A 2009 study at the University of Sussex found that reading can reduce stress by 68%!
So this study proves that reading does help with stress.
I honestly don’t read a lot but I might read more if I feel stressed out a little.
It can be any book that you enjoy reading whether it is nonfiction or fiction.
But if you don’t enjoy reading then that is okay, there are more things out there that will help you relieve stress.
Chill With A Pet
This one that I personally do and It surprisingly works.
My dog is named Buster, he is about 14 years old and he is a chocolate lab.
I usually chill with him for about 1/4 of the day and I really love that dog.
I found that when I feel stressed and I was chilling with my dog buster, my stress levels will go down.
Any animal or pet can help you feel less stressed.
It doesn’t have to be a dog.
It can be a cat, parrot, bunny, or really any other animal or pet that you have.
dogtime.com says that studies have been shown that petting your dog for even a few minutes releases a ton of feel-good hormones like serotonin, prolactin, and oxytocin.
This will allow you to feel relaxed and release some stress.
Listen to Binaural Beats
The last way you can completely obliterate stress is by listening to binaural beats.
Certain binaural beats are mainly for reducing stress.
I sometimes turn on some binaural beats if I feel a little stress and it works almost every time.
If you have never tried binaural beats, then I highly recommend you try it.
There are a lot of other things that you can use binaural beats too.
Some examples are anxiety, feel happy, calm down, headache relief and a lot more.
Everybody has at least some experience of feeling stressed out throughout there life.
If you find out the best way for you to get rid of stress then you will be stress-free for most of your life.
That is the ways to completely obliterate stress.
