Are you unsure of your best productive time? We all have a productive time, whether it’s the morning, the afternoon, or at night.

I know that some people sometimes struggle or straight up don’t know how to find their best productive time.

I was quite unsure of myself until I learned specifically 3 things that helped me find my best productive time.

Those three are observing your energy levels, record what you accomplished, and reflect on your previous week and I’m going to talk more about them in more detail in just a minute but I want to cover why It’s important to know your best productive time.

Why Is It Important To Know Your Best Productive Time?

There are a whole lot of reasons why it’s important to know your best productive time but I’m going to talk about specifically 3 in this blog, and they are you will feel less drained during the day, be able to get more stuff done in a shorter amount of time, and you will be more productive too.

We are starting with finding your best productive time and after I cover those three reasons then I would cover why it’s important and the 3 reasons why it’s important.

Now let us get started.

Finding your best productive time

Finding your best productive time will not only allow you to be more productive, but you will also have more energy throughout the whole day.

In this section, I’m going to talk about three things that you have to do to find your best production time.

First ill talk about observing your energy, secondly, I’ll talk about recording what you accomplished, and lastly, I’ll talk about reflecting on your previous week.

1. Observe Your Energy levels Throughout The Day

As you find your best productive time, it is very important to observe your energy levels throughout your day.

If you don’t, then it will be impossible to know when you are the most productive.

I would also recommend recording what your energy levels are during the day.

It would give you a better idea of when you are most productive.

An example of this is that I observe my energy levels throughout the day and I realize that I have more energy in the morning and at night.

I also realize that I have less energy in the afternoon and I usually take a quick nap so I can recharge.

Once you observe your energy levels throughout the day for about a week and noticed that you have more energy at a particular time of the day like the morning for example, then make sure to do most of the work at that particular time of day.

I would highly recommend doing the hardest or challenging ones first so you don’t have to do it when you don’t have that much energy or put it off for another day.

2. Record What You Accomplished

Once you finished with whatever you were working on, make sure to record what you accomplished.

You will be able to tell over time when you are the most productive and when you are the least productive.

Once you figure out these two things than you can plan your day according to those two things.

You can record your accomplishments however you like, whether it’s by writing them in a notebook, typing it on your phone, or something else.

I would recommend recording for about at least a week and reflect on what you accomplished during the week.

You also would highly recommend that you plan for the next day, it would allow you to know what exactly you’re going to do the next day, but that’s only a suggestion.

If you see that you accomplished more let us just say during the nighttime for example than congrats, you just figured out when you are the most productive.

You can then customize your day however may fit best once you realize when you are most productive.

I just wanted to add that you can record your week however you like.

You do not have to write it on paper if you don’t want to.

You can do it on a phone, computer, tablet, or something else but it’s just important that you record what you accomplished so you know when you’re most productive.

3. Reflect On Your Previous Week

After recording what you accomplished during your day for about 7 days, take a moment and reflect on how much you accomplished during the week.

When you are reflecting, pay attention to when you were the most productive or got the most amount of work done.

Once you noticed what your most productive time is, plan your day around that.

I would recommend doing the most difficult task during your productive time so you can get it done right away and don’t have to worry about it later on when you feel like doing nothing.

Why It’s Important

Being able to know when you are the most productive is so important because you will get so much more done in a given day, and if you get all of the stuff that you planned to do done with during your productive time, then you would have a whole lot of free time to do whatever or to work on something else.

In this section, I’m going to go over 3 benefits of knowing when your productive time is which emphasizes the importance of knowing your productive time.

Those three benefits that I’m going over in just a minute is feeling less drained, being able to get more done, and being able to be more productive.

1. Feel Less Drained

I think that this is one of the biggest or the biggest benefit for finding your productive time.

I think it is because you will be able to do a lot more during the day and will have way more energy during the day.

Most of the time, the reason why we aren’t productive is that we don’t have the energy to do it.

It’s also important that if you do feel like your energy is drained is to take about a 20-minute break of doing absolutely nothing and right after you work for about 50 minutes and you repeat the cycle. This is called the 50/20 rule.

I do personally do this myself and at first, It was hard for me to do because I was tempted to go on my phone and to watch YouTube or some other social media when I was on my 20-minute break but the more I did it, the easier it got.

I noticed that I overall was more productive and had more energy throughout the day.

2. Being Able To Get More Done

Of course, as a result of knowing your best productive time, you would be able to get a lot more stuff done, be more efficient, and be less lazy.

Getting more stuff done during the day is important because you will have less work to do later on.

You might get more free time as a result of getting stuff done because you have the energy to get everything you want to be done, you will be more in a flow state, or at least be in the flow state more of the time, and you would get more stuff done in a shorter amount of time.

So make sure to know when your most productive because it will make getting stuff done a lot easier for you in the long run.

3. Being Able To Be More Productive

Lastly, it’s important to know your best productive time because you will be able to be more productive during the course or a certain course of the day.

If you aren’t productive at least a little bit, then your not going anywhere.

I’m going to say what I kind of said before but being more productive during the day or even part of the day will allow you to get more stuff done, and might even be able to have more free time during the day if you finish all the things that you want to accomplish early.

So instead of you looking back and regret that you didn’t do anything.

You could just relax knowing that you finished what you want to accomplish during the day.

4. Having More Free time

I was strongly debating whether I was going to put this in hear or not.

You can have more free time if you get everything done in a short amount of time but if you a lot of stuff to do during the whole day then you not going to get that much free time at all.

So it just depends on how much stuff you want to accomplish during the day.

Though your free time will feel a lot more rewarding.

I know this from personal experience, I work on my blog or something else just about every single day and on top of that, I’m starting YouTube so I don’t have as close as much free time as I used too.

When I do get free time, it feels so rewarding and I usually still do something productive during my free time like learning a new strategy or just learning in general.

So remember, once you are done finding your best productive time, you will be able to have more free time.

    I totally agree with you. It’s very important to understand when we are more productive. In my case, I’m more productive in the morning. After taking a shower and drinking a cup of coffee, I feel rejuvenated and ready to start the day. I have more energy to do my tasks and am more productive in general.

    However, I think it also depends on what activities you’re going to do. For instance, it doesn’t matter if I work out in the morning or in the evening. I hate it equally with a passion lol. But that’s another subject.
